Libby can do a Rubik’s Cube in less than 40 seconds. Her personal best time.
When I first arrived at the Caritas Schule, I had no idea what to expect. I was in a different country and was starting teaching – something I’d never even considered. Now that I’m leaving I realise I had absolutely nothing to worry about. This is such a special school – the teachers and pupils made me feel like I really belonged, every day I looked forward to lessons, and although I knew I’d only be here for one semester, I feel it’s gone far too quickly and I’ll be really sad to leave. At least I can take comfort in the fact that I’ll still be in Salzburg, as I’m taking up tutoring ‘til June (when I go back to England to complete my degree), but I’ll miss teaching here. Thank you all so much for your kindness, generosity and hospitality – it’s really made my year abroad. Alles Liebe, Libby
P.S.: Charlotte shall replace me as the language assistant for the rest of the year. She is also from England and in her third year at uni, and has been in France for the first semester. She is really lovely, and I’m sure she’ll be a wonderful replacement, and I hope (and am certain) that she’ll enjoy her semester here just as much as I have.
